The average operating rate of die-casting zinc alloy manufacturers was 47.62% last week, down 0.36 percentage point. Raw material inventories grew slightly. Some plants restocked imported zinc thanks to the low premiums. Most manufacturers kept their operating rates unchanged. However, due to strong zinc prices, some end-user manufacturers were cautious about purchasing. Therefore, some small and medium-sized die-casting zinc alloy plants lowered their operating rates. Considering the traffic restrictions on expressways during the Asian Games, alloy companies and end-user companies around Hangzhou have plans to restock in advance. Operating rates at die-casting zinc alloy plants will rise this week.
